I was born in Ermoupolis, on the Island of Syros and for many years I have been living and working on the island of Tinos.
My interest in sculpture was triggered by the artistic aura that is present on the island and by the tradition of marble sculpting that dates back centuries. From a very young age I enjoyed painting and creating three dimensional figures using play dough and later clay.
I was taught the art of sculpture by Petros Dellatolas and for many years I was a resident artist at his marble workshop in the Spitalia area of Tinos.
Nikolaos Gaitis was my teacher for frescoes and icon painting. Voula Priovolou from the Athens Fine Arts School was my teacher for freestyle painting with acrylic and oil based colors.
I’ve also had experience with copper and glass etching, stained glass, mosaics, wood carving and model building. Time has shown that my greatest passions lie in painting and sculpting!
